Culture

There are 88 cultural facilities in the Molodechno region. Among them are three branches of the national museums, an oblast local lore museum, an oblast drama theatre, an oblast puppet theatre Batleika, the Oginsky State Musical College. The region’s 256 sites of history and culture (including 199 historical, 32 architectural, nine – park and garden estates, 25 archeological and others) were taken under the state protection.

The most important cultural events of the region are:

- Dulcimer Sounds on Kupala’s Land, an oblast festival
- The national song and poetry festival in the village of Vyazynka
- Molodechno national festival of Belarusian song and poetry
- Rakutseuskaye Leta, a poetry festival in the village of Rakutevschina
- Maladzichok, an international popular song contest
- Ya, an international one-person show festival
- The oblast festival of national cultures
- Molodechno Cup, a national dance contest
- Belyja Kryly, an international choreography festival
- World of Creation, World of Hobbies, an oblast amateur art festival
- One Earth, a regional song festival

Some collectives of the region have received the title of “people’s” and “exemplary”.

The names of some outstanding figures are directly linked with the Molodechno region. A memorial plaque to Yanka Kupala to mark his 125th anniversary was opened in the village of Yakhimovshchina. Others include a monument to Yanka Kupala in the urban-type settlement of Radoshkovichi, a memorial plaque to Yulian Sergiyevich, a progressive Western-Belarusian poet and artist in the village of Lenkovshchina, a memorial plaque to Alexander Vlasov, a political and public figure, publisher and one of the organizers of the Belarusian Socialistic Gramada in the urban-type settlement of Radoshkovichi.

- the village of Krasovshchina, the Krasnoye rural council – the regional crafts centre and a crafts exposition;
- the village of Pleban, the Krasnoye rural council – the Pleban Museum;
- the village of Rakutevshchina, the Krasnoye rural council – the Rakutevshchina Folwark visited by Maksim Bogdanovich (a branch of the Maksim Bogdanovich State Museum);
- the village of Krasnoye, the Krasnoye rural council – military glory monuments and the public history and local lore museum;
- the village of Krasnoye, the Krasnoye rural council – the Swan Lake natural reserve, Weimar Forest;
- the village of Polochany, the Polochany rural council – the High Water complex;
- the Gorodok rural council – the Watermill wooden monument;
- the village of Myasota, the Myasota rural council – the Vilna Route monument;
- the village of Sakovshchina, the Myasota rural council – a monument to the burnt village of Sakovshchina;
- the village of Lenkovshchina, the Markovskoye rural council – Falcon Hill, the place of deployment of Mikhail Kutuzov partisan detachment during the Great Patriotic War;
- the town of Molodechno, the Stalag 243 memorial complex in commemoration of the prisoners killed during the Great Patriotic War;
- the town of Molodechno, a memorial complex to the military formations and units that liberated the town of Molodechno during the Great Patriotic War;
- the town of Molodechno – the Minsk oblast local lore museum;
- the village of Yakhimovshchina, the Polochany rural council – a branch of the Yanka Kupala State Museum, a palace and park ensemble, a stone cross;
